Gov. Idris approves composition of Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Agency. The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has approved the composition of the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA). Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor made this known in a statement made available to Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Monday. Idris quoted Secretary to Kebbi State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida as saying that the composition consisted of 17 people drawn from across the state. Kebbi Gov't. to partner UNDP towards achieving SDGs. The Kebbi State Government says it is partnering with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to facilitate attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the state. Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor disclosed this in a statement issued to Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi. Idris quoted the State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris as saying this during a meeting with UNDP country Director, Muhammad Yahaya-Idris in Abuja. The Chief Press Secretary identified the mandate of the UNDP to include; justice, peace and governance, climatic change as well as inclusive economic growth. KBSG leads other States to Launch Rice Fortification Project to raise Nutrition in Nigeria. The Kebbi State Government in collaboration with other Global Partners have launched the first Rice Fortification Project  aimed at raising the Nutrition level in Schools. Kebbi State Governor,  Comrade,  Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu  has Flagged off the distribution  of palliatives to the public in Maiyama local Government Area of Kebbi State this Friday. About  210 truck load of grains worth N5.7 billion have been distributed to the general public including  the vulnerable to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal and provide sustainable means of livelihood to citizenry by the Kebbi State Government.
