Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor made this known in a statement made available to Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday. Idris quoted his principal as saying this at the final of a badminton competition organised by the Association of Badminton Clubs in Nigeria held in Sokoto. The governor, who promised to do everything possible to make the game more famous, also said: "I want a situation where the game of badminton will attract more audience than football in Nigeria. This is my dream and I pray this will become true soon." The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has approved the composition of the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA). Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor made this known in a statement made available to Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Monday. Idris quoted Secretary to Kebbi State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida as saying that the composition consisted of 17 people drawn from across the state. The Kebbi State Government says it is partnering with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to facilitate attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the state.
